Don’t print at home…you end up paying a lot more b/c you have to pay for ink, paper, and machine maintanance. At home printing can cost anywhere from 28 to 50 cents a print! That’s pretty costly.

I worked at a Walgreen’s Photo lab for 4 years and we only charge 15 cents online, Target is 15 cents and Snap fish can be as little as 10 cents if you prepay….not to mention, you can still do it all from the comfort of your home sitting in your pjs while your little one crawls around on a not so nasty floor.

Also the quality issue. If you get them done at an actual photo lab it will be on quality fuji, agfa or kodak paper, plus it’s still done by chemical process which is a lot better then home based printer inks for longevity. Using online one hour services you can also send printed pics to grandma in another state if she’s close to a walgreens and even prepay them so she can pic up pictures of her adorable grandson in as little as an hour….

So you see, there are really no perks to printing at home b/c you can still do it at home but pay less by getting it mailed to you or picking them up in as little as an hour… all in all you’ll have better quality and at lower cost to you…..save your $$ save it for your little one!

One more thing…make sure you have a copyright release for any professional photos…it’s illegal to copy or get reprints without one and no lab will do so as it can be about a $10,000 fine for the store. 3d0ad1
